Week 1 is done. How did everyone do?
This was a slow first week for me. I had plenty of time to write but spent part of my time sleeping or doing nothing. I did get a job this week and that will start to affect things but this next week I only train for 2 days. So, I should still have time to work on the novel. Feels weird not really focusing on word count this time around. Sure I'd like the novel to make 60k but as long as it's close I won't mind what the end result becomes. Just no more 23k first drafts, lol.
I am roughly 4 chapters in. 3 finished with the 4th is started and I hope to have it done today.
Might be up for attempting #10kInADay on twitter for anyone who is interested this next week at least on one day. The goal there is to write 10k in a single day. I haven't made it in one day but it's worth a try and anything is better than a zero. Each word gets us closer to the finish line.
What about everyone else?
Ahead of schedule?
Behind?

About Me
- Dawn Embers
- I am a writer still trying to find the right path. A multi-tasker, distracted writer with many different novels and still have hopes of someday becoming published. I have a blog on writing in general, a blog on my own writing and fitness, and a book review blog.

Read and Write

I didn't even know about MarNo. Glad to hear you're making such great progress. Good luck for the rest of the month!
Keep on truckin'. :) My first week wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Weekends are my best writing time and I didn't write at all Sunday. Just slept and read. Yesterday was a loss, too, but I'm back into this already today. Too bad I have to work day-job stuff the rest of the day. BTW, congrats on the new job!
#10KInADay sounds challenging. I would only be able to do it this Sunday. Saturday is a cancer walk and the rest of the week is work. :-P I'll look for you on Twitter!
I've written...two new chapters. not nearly as many as I would like at this point, but I'm starting to get a feel for character dynamic, so that's good.
I'd totally be up for 10k in a day. Any day but Saturdays sounds like a blast ^_^
Congrats on the progress you've made so far!
That is so exciting! Keep rollin' on, because you are onto something. I'll be following.
Congrats on your progress!!!
Considering I wrote two essays today and five others over the weekend, I'd consider I've been productive at everything but my goal of plotting my novel this month. I have more essays to write, but as soon as I get those out of the way this week and next week, I'll be so much more free to let my mind wander into more appetizing, more novel ideas.
