V is for Vlog

No, I'm not posting a vlog. Sorry if that over excited anyone who thought they were actually going to see me on video. I haven't even posted a picture of myself so the chances of me posting a vlog any time soon is very slim. Plus I have no idea how to make one. But let's discuss the topic in general.

What is a Vlog?
The word stands for video log. A video placed on the internet taken for a number of different reasons. If I were to do a vlog, for example, I would probably talk about writing because this is a writing blog. Food bloggers who vlog would probably talk about food though sometimes people go off topic from their general themes.

It is a brave thing to post, or at least it seems brave to me.

Why won't I do a vlog? Aside from my issues with technology, there is the whole not liking any pictures of myself. I sound weird on recordings too, or at least, my voice sounds weird to me when I have to hear a recorded version. I may do one in the future, but no promises yet.

Since I don't know much about vlogging, I did find a friend's blog post with tips on what not to do while making a vlog. Here is the link: Confessions of Bad Vlogger

Have you made a vlog?
Do you plan to in the future?

I can't imagine doing this but then a few years ago I couldn't have imagined living this virtual blogging life!

Funny. I've just read your previous posts I must have missed and was about to comment on U when V popped up. Radical. So I read 3 at once and entered your Giveaway. Well worth the visit.

Happy job hunting.

Yeah, Dawn, you and I are on the same page with this one. I so would like to vlog, excluding the whole having to see my face on screen thing. And technology is an issue for moi, too. :)

I'm like you. I haven't even posted my picture. So a vlog is definitely out unless I do it bandito style and wear a mask. I'm one of those people who hates the sound of my own voice and the way I look. Even so, I did do a podcast once. That's about as far as I'm willing to go. :)

I have a sneaky suspicion that everyone thinks their voice is not right when played back !

Denise - lol. Yeah, that time difference does that some times. True, I never imagines I would spend so much time blogging or have over 200 followers so who knows what I'll do in the future.

salarsen - Glad I'm not the only one with tech issues and such. ;-)

shoutsfromtheabyss - hehe, bandito style. I've considered trying out a podcast as that's a very different world then blogging but again technology for it intimidates me.

RJR - That might be true. It has been a long time since I've heard the recorded version too, so it might be different.

Lord NO! I have the same issues you do, "Do not take my picture" and "who is that talking?" :) I do follow someone who does it all the time.

At my age, I just can't/won't do the picture thing. I got a good one for my blog; that's it. So I know where you're coming from!

And the technology part of this would do me in!!

Jules - lol. I like to watch other people's vlogs but not so keen on attempting myself.

Ann - Wish I had a good reason to not have a picture other than not liking it. Well, I do like the picture I have on the profile for blogger since I made it in 2d design but that's it.
